The top 3 questions NOT to ask your tarot reader…
Listen, I’m just gonna talk straight with you here, because I feel like you deserve it. The thing is, as tarot readers we really really want to help you to get insight, clarity and guidance, at least MOST of us do. And that’s why we can be kinda picky on the questions that we won’t read for. In fact, we can get downright cranky if the same unanswerable questions keep coming up again and again. Makes us kinda want to poke forks into our eyes.
So, let me help you to get the best and most kick ass reading in the universe.
#1 question NOT to ask.
Will I win the lottery?
Okay, really? First of all, if I could answer that question for YOU, don’t you think I would ask that question for myself and get the hell outta dodge? I get it, you just want to know if you will have sweet relief from your money stress. Believe me, I have been singing that tune for years. This is why I work very hard with my clients to come up with the exact right question around the original unanswerable question.
So, what I would do in this case is dive a little deeper. Are you worried about money? Are you having stress around it? Why don’t we ask this: What is my blocking fear around money?
#2 question NOT to ask.
When will I find my soulmate? When? WHEN?!
Now I know that as a tarot reader I am supposed to remain neutral, which I do, but if a person is so focused on finding “the one” they may be passing up the most perfect mate for them right NOW. If you really believe that we all have a soulmate, totally fine, but the real question here is: What can I do to attract my soulmate? Or similar to question #1: How am I blocking or resisting attracting my soulmate?
When we rephrase a question and get out of the tendency to use the tarot as a fortune telling guru, we can really uncover the unconscious ways we are holding ourselves back from living the juiciest lives ever. Perhaps we picked up some unhealthy patterns from childhood? Could be. Maybe we have an ego the size of a walnut? Or worse, the Grand Canyon? Maybe. My point is this, until you discover these answers for yourself, you will never ever attract the perfect-for-you mate. Like, ever. Do you need to heal old childhood wounds? Well, tarot can’t actually do that for you, but what is CAN do is put a spotlight on an area that needs healing. It can be the catalyst to swivel your attention to an area that needs some air. You know what I’m saying?
#3 question NOT to ask your tarot reader
I have some medical tests coming up, will it be serious?
This question makes me the most sad, because obviously this person is very very worried about this issue in their life! I will never ever do a reading for someone who is facing a possibly serious illness. There may be tarot readers who do, and possibly even some that specialize in this area, and I would happily do some research to find you what you need. But what I CAN do for you is to do a spread like this: How can I find peace and stress relief while undergoing these tests?
Are you seeing a theme here? When clients want magical answers about something outside of themselves, this is where things get really tricky. This is where you really have to trust your reader, if they are going to dive in to these kinds of questions. But when I polled over 200 readers, these top three questions were the ones that came up as the ones they wished clients would not ask. For me it is because I truly want to actually HELP you to find clarity. I want you to find peace. I want you to go away from your reading feeling better than you did when you walked in or sent the email. I want you to have confidence that you have seen a new perspective on your situation and can try something you have never tried before.
I want you to be empowered in your own life.
Next time you reach out to your reader, write down your question first, really read it, and then re-word it to frame it from the inside out. Make it about YOU, and how you can gain the insight. I guarantee you will have a more powerful experience and leave with clearer direction and purpose in your life.
